Drap forbids doctors from recommending specific drug brands.

Patients can now only be prescribed generic formula by doctors.

The Pakistani Drugs and Regulation Authority (Drap) has made it illegal for doctors to prescribe brand-name drugs to their patients. They can only write the drug's generic formula now.

Medical practitioners in the United States, like many other nations throughout the world, can now only prescribe generic drug formulas to their patients. The Drug Regulatory Agency has released new recommendations.

According to the Drap, medical practitioners will only write the generic name of the drug instead of the name of the drug.

According to the new standards, medical shop operators will not be permitted to sell medications without a prescription.

The Drap also stated that drugs should not be sold without a prescription from a licenced physician.

It also stated that every medical store must have a graduate pharmacist on staff. Customers should receive a computerised payment receipt from every pharmacy and medical establishment. The name of the doctor who prescribed the drug should be on the receipt.

Pharmaceutical corporations are no longer permitted to send gifts to doctors in exchange for recommending their products. If a healthcare provider accepts a gift, they will face severe consequences.

Pharmaceutical corporations will be unable to provide physicians with overseas excursions.

No expenditures will be reimbursed to the family of healthcare professionals or their visitors, according to the code of conduct. Additional labelling is required on pharmaceutical samples delivered to medical practitioners.
