Today at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, England and New Zealand will play in the first semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

For the last 89 years, England and New Zealand have been playing cricket against each other, and the Eng. versus NZ head-to-head statistics are among the finest in the world. In all three versions of cricket, both sides have faced off against one another.

New Zealand fell by eight wickets in their opening encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup against Pakistan.

In Group One, the England cricket team began off on a high note, winning their first four matches and keeping their opponents at bay, until losing to South Africa in the last match.

Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, and Sam Curran, on the other hand, were unavailable to the English team before to the event, while Tim Mills and now Jason Roy have returned to London owing to thigh tightness and severe back discomfort.

Despite the absence of numerous important players, England captain Eoin Morgan believes that reaching the final of the competition will be one of his finest achievements as captain.

In the absence of Jason Roy, Eoin Morgan believes Wednesday's semi-final victory against New Zealand will be historic.

"You can only go to the final and lose," Avon Morgan continued, "but getting to the final will be a triumph."
