The WHO is calling on world leaders and individuals to unite behind the injustices that lead to AIDS on December 1, 2021

HIV is a serious public health issue affecting millions of individuals throughout the world.



HIV has become a worldwide health issue due to a number of failings, including distribution, inequality, and a disregard for human rights. COVID-19 is already increasing inequity and service obstacles, making life more difficult for many individuals living with HIV.

"Eliminate Inequality. End AIDS" is the theme for World AIDS Day 2021. WHO and its partners are emphasising rising inequities in access to basic HIV care, with an emphasis on reaching out to the poor.

 Despite tremendous progress in previous decades, important global targets set for 2020 have yet to be realised.
