Danger of Omicron after corona in Pakistan

In response to Omicron's warning, the procedure of applying for a free booster dosage in Karachi began today, according to Director Health Karachi, Dr. Akram Sultan. 6 months following the immunisation, booster doses will be given out.

Although vaccines against the omecron virus are not yet available, Dr. Akram Sultan, Director Health, Karachi, said that in light of the current scenario, the Sindh government has decided to administer a booster dosage across the province.

On the directives of Health Minister Dr. Azra Pecho, the booster dosage of Covid was begun today, according to Dr. Akram Sultan, Director Health, Karachi. Previously, booster lunches were only given at Jinnah, Children's Hospital, and Dow Ojha Campus.

He stated that the OmiCron mutation would be evaluated and filtered first, and then a configuration approach will be used to identify various kinds utilising RNA, which will necessitate the employment of all sophisticated and sensitive laboratory equipment.

The kind of Omicron develops swiftly in the human body and makes a home there, according to Dr. Akram Sultan, Director Health Karachi.

He stated that while there is no vaccine for this virus, it is critical that it be made available in Pakistan as soon as feasible.

According to Dr. Akram Sultan, the spread of this new form would be aided by cold weather, thus we must stick to SOPs once again.

The new strain might appear in Pakistan later this month, and the virus could be spread by air and land between countries.

As with the Delta virus, there is a considerable likelihood that the virus may move from India to Pakistan.
