Officials from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) have urged all oil marketing businesses to guarantee that oil is available at retail outlets at all times.
Petrol station owners are on a partial strike across the country, and the Petroleum Dealers Association has agreed to embark on a full-scale strike starting today until the government increases gasoline and diesel margins by 25.20 percent.
"Petroleum
products will continue to be provided at PSO pumps, HESCO, GO, and SHELL
business run pumps around the nation," the Oil and Gas Regulatory
Authority (OGRA) declared, according to Noman Butt, Secretary, Petroleum
Dealers Association. Until dealer margins are improved, there will be a strike
at gas stations across the country.
Taking serious
note of reports of oil supply disruptions at gas stations, OGRA authorities
stated that the inconvenience to the public and those responsible for the
disruptions will be dealt with rigorously in accordance with OGRA standards.

In an emergency
communication to the Secretary Petroleum on Wednesday, the Punjab Government's
Provincial Intelligence Center (PIC) ordered them to call the Petroleum Dealers
Association and play a role in preventing it from going on strike. The warning
went on to say that the lack of POL goods across the country will bring the
country to a halt.
The problem was presented by the deputy director of the Provincial Intelligence Center with a senior official of the Petroleum Division, who was urged to encourage the Petroleum Dealers Association to postpone the strike through negotiation.
Meanwhile, Noman
Butt, the Secretary General of the Petroleum Dealers Association, has stated
that the government has guaranteed us that our requests would be met, but that
no government official has contacted us so far.
