On April 30, India became the first country in the world to be hit by Covid-19, with over 400,000 cases recorded in a single day, followed by a record number of cases and deaths in a single day.

Covid-19 has wreaked havoc on Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, to name a few.

Although India produces enough oxygen to satisfy current demands, the majority of it is extracted far from hospitals and availability is severely limited due to a shortage of cryogenic tankers capable of transporting medical-grade oxygen.

Although many countries have provided medical supplies to India, including oxygen cylinders and tankers, the federal government's lack of accountability in delivering these supplies to the states has been criticized by opposition parties and the local media.

Several governments and private companies from around the world have stepped in to help India as the pandemic continues to ravage the country.

The White House announced last week that it would send over $100 million in supplies to India, including oxygen tanks, PPE kits, Covid-19 samples, and vaccine raw materials.

In addition, India is hosting the world's biggest corona vaccine program, with over 162.51 million people injected so far.

Ex Indian minister Ajit Singh, on the other hand, died of the covid-19. Ajit Singh, 82, was diagnosed with the coronavirus on April 20 and has been pursuing treatment at a hospital since then, according to Indian media.

Ajit Singh was the son of former Indian Prime Minister Charan Singh and the Union Minister for Civil Aviation and Agriculture.
